A Thin Attachment Tape for a Range of Lightweight Trim and Moldings
Our 3M™ Automotive Attachment Tape 06377 (PDF, 308 Kb) is a good choice for permanent attachment of lighter moldings, trims, nameplates and emblems to automotive surfaces. This OEM approved .03" (.76 mm) thick attachment tape is built on a core of medium density closed cell acrylic foam. This foam provides a blend of strength and conformability for a flush, professional appearance even across long applications such as door edge moldings. The tape is 1/2" wide for a versatile range of lightweight parts and applications. The viscoelastic foam core conforms well even to complex geometries. It is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads, and maintains bond-line aesthetics under normal stress loads. A red liner (PDF, 147 Kb) provides easy one-piece release for efficient application. The gray-colored tape blends well with automotive surfaces for a smooth appearance.

3M recommends the use of 3M™ Automotive Adhesion Promoter 06396 for tape-to-part adhesion with 3M tape 06377 on all plastic parts such as RIM, TPO, PPO, PP and PC.
