Symplex® Dual Action Medium Cut Optimized Polish Corrector

Dual Action Medium Cut is a premium, water-based polishing compound engineered for Dual Action (DA) and Forced Rotation polishers. Built with Ultra Cut Diminishing Abrasive Technology and advanced Aluminum Oxide micro-abrasives, it removes moderate paint imperfections while finishing with a high-gloss result.

What It Corrects

  • Swirl marks
  • Light scratches
  • Oxidation
  • Water spots

Key Features & Benefits

  • Medium cut performance: aggressive enough for moderate defects, safe across many paint types.
  • Optimized for DA & forced rotation polishers: designed to minimize the risk of holograms.
  • Ultra Cut Diminishing Abrasive Technology: fast initial cut, then refines to a high-gloss finish as abrasives break down.
  • Engineered Aluminum Oxide micro-abrasives: consistent polishing performance.
  • Zero dusting and easy wipe-off: cleaner, faster workflow.
  • Water-based formula: easy clean-up.
  • Body shop safe (per manufacturer) for paint-prep workflows.

Recommended Pads & Use Cases

Goal Recommended Pad Notes
Moderate defect removal Medium-cut foam pad Recommended for initial correction.
Refining / extra gloss Softer polishing pad Use lighter pressure and slower final passes.
Alternative pad options Wool, microfiber, or foam Manufacturer notes it can be used with medium-cut pads in these materials.

How to Use (DA / Forced Rotation)

  1. Wash & dry the vehicle thoroughly.
  2. Decontaminate the paint (clay bar or clay mitt) if needed.
  3. Choose pad based on desired cut/finish (medium-cut foam for correction; softer pad for refining).
  4. Prime the pad with a small amount of product.
  5. Apply 3–4 pea-sized drops and work a section of approximately 2 ft x 2 ft.
  6. Start at low speed (about speed 1–2), then increase to speed 4–5.
  7. Apply moderate, consistent pressure, overlapping each pass by 50%. Use horizontal and vertical overlapping passes.
  8. For the final passes, reduce pressure and speed to refine the finish as abrasives break down.
  9. Inspect results and repeat if necessary.
  10. Wipe off residue with a clean, soft microfiber towel.

Finishing Tip (Manufacturer Recommendation)

  • For extra refinement, the technical sheet recommends following with Micro SHR Super Hologram Remover using a finishing foam pad at low speed (1200 rpm).
