Recommended Pads & Use Cases
| Goal | Recommended Pad | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Moderate defect removal | Medium-cut foam pad | Recommended for initial correction. |
| Refining / extra gloss | Softer polishing pad | Use lighter pressure and slower final passes. |
| Alternative pad options | Wool, microfiber, or foam | Manufacturer notes it can be used with medium-cut pads in these materials. |
How to Use (DA / Forced Rotation)
- Wash & dry the vehicle thoroughly.
- Decontaminate the paint (clay bar or clay mitt) if needed.
- Choose pad based on desired cut/finish (medium-cut foam for correction; softer pad for refining).
- Prime the pad with a small amount of product.
- Apply 3–4 pea-sized drops and work a section of approximately 2 ft x 2 ft.
- Start at low speed (about speed 1–2), then increase to speed 4–5.
- Apply moderate, consistent pressure, overlapping each pass by 50%. Use horizontal and vertical overlapping passes.
- For the final passes, reduce pressure and speed to refine the finish as abrasives break down.
- Inspect results and repeat if necessary.
- Wipe off residue with a clean, soft microfiber towel.
Finishing Tip (Manufacturer Recommendation)
- For extra refinement, the technical sheet recommends following with Micro SHR Super Hologram Remover using a finishing foam pad at low speed (1200 rpm).
